A Children's Treasury Of Playground Near Nuclear Power Plant Photos

nuke_playground_vance_02.jpg

I can't figure out what's going on in these photographs Eric Vance took. I mean, they're labeled "environmental justice," and they were taken in 2007. For the EPA. During the Bush Administration. So I can only assume they are meant to promote nuclear power plants as safe enough to put a playground next to, or maybe Vance is a big Simpsons fan?

There are a couple more after the jump, where you can leave your more plausible theories.

I'd be more sad to see pictures of elementary schools next to coal power plants. Used to be one in my city.
As long as those things don't melt down we should be good. Which is more than can be said for a lot of light and heavy industrial near schools.

Link?

I'm sending to some friends at kaboom.org

Ha! Kaboom!!!!

+3.

for the link, the best I can do is the National Archive's Archival Research Catalog search page, where they can search for "environmental justice" and or eric vance.

http://www.archives.gov/research/arc/

The individual photos are completely unlinkable.

Awesome, thanks. My Googling gave me nothing.

And yeah, Kaboom. Heh. Realized the joke after I submitted...
