Station Wagons You Can't Get Here Yet: The Lancia Delta

Gotta say, the Lancia Delta 5-door really looks great on the street's of Our Nation's Capital. If this is what we get for rescuing Chrysler and selling it to Fiat, we could do much worse.

And if the reports of the Delta's unmet promises of luxury and mediocre sales, and some grumpy auto show badge engineering are true, it sounds like Chrysler's gonna try. SUV! SUV! SUV!

hmmm, looks unpleasantly Venza-like. Still want Alfa-Romeo 159SW

yes on the Alfa, but no way on the Venza. That's the first thing I noticed about the Delta, was how nicely proportioned and clean it was for a larger hatchback/wagon. That non-Venza non-fugliness is what stands out on America's Roads.

Lancia interiors however (never driven one) leave a lot to be desired versus the Venza. That car is unfortunate, the Venza, perfect family car. Low step in height, huge backseat, huge cargo area, decent ride...power...meh. But better fuel economy than a Ford Edge for example and much nicer interior.

As for the Lancia I think it looks like a Lincoln MKZ, another favorite of mine.
