Yikes, if these DiaperBridge people had come out with their folding platform that turns any bathroom sink into a diaper changing table surface with just a few straps and belts [OK, a lot of straps and belts, but stay with me here], just a couple of years ago, I might never have started mapping out all the men's room changing tables in NYC. But if that had happened, I wouldn've have had anything to talk to the Satellite Sisters about,...

Seriously, people, WTF is that about? I say, until Apple gets its biznazz together and gets some changing tables going, change the kid on the nearest wide, flat, open surface in between the iPods, the MacBooks, the Hi-Fi's, anywhere. [UPDATE: Anyone up for a diaper-changing flashmob? -ed.]...

Wow, 212, the Eurotrash joint through the block from us, not only has a changing table in the unisex bathroom, reports DT reader Eric, they also "had a fairly good selection of baby food on the menu." Still, expect a lot of attitude, unless/even if you have an ascot and a permatan....

Good thing there's a changing table, because, as DT reader Eric reports, "there is no better place in the city for a burger and a beer on a nice day; that is if you get there before everybody else so you don’t have to wait for a table on the balcony."...

The NYC Dept of Transportation previewed models of the pay toilets that's coming to town somedy as part of a $1 billion deal with Spanish company Cemusa. These two different views show the inside--and the apparent absence of changing tables. Also, there's no mention in rather detailed description given in the NYT. When I called the DOT Press office about it, they said that for such technically detailed information, I should talk to Cemusa directly--then they gave me the...

Get this, some dude is posting about public men's rooms around town on his blog. Fuh-reeek! Anyway, his photos of the pristine men's room in the back of the handbag section of this discount shoe store shows a changing table in the stall. I want to tell you a secret [manhattanoffender.com via curbed]...

OK, thanks to Jason's quick eye for spotting coding anomalies, I've gotten all but about ten of the NYC Men's Room Changing Table posts mapped onto Google Maps. I'm still tweaking on it, and will be adding some more functionality [searching, listing, printing, automatic user-submissions] soon [heh], but the basics are there. Hopefully, it's more informative; it's certainly more revealing: even though I lived there for years, I almost never went anywhere on the Upper East Side. Go figure. Daddy...

There are restrooms on the second floor, to the right out of the elevators (or double back if you go up the large lobby staircase). One surprise option: the middle elevator goes to "M," which is a private dining area of the lobby restaurant/bar. It was totally empty in mid-day, and the banquette looked very usable....
