Pinball Number Count Remix Compilation

We've come a long way from DJ Food.

In 2003, Sesame Workshop released a CD boxset, Songs From The Street: 35 Years Of Music, that included DJ Food's remix of the classic Pinball Number Count, which was performed by the Pointer Sisters and composed by Walt Kraemer.

Now there are too many covers and remixes of Pinball Number Count to count, but Funky Frolic's Mr. Craig has kindly put together a playlist of seven of the best.

Braces Tower weaves the song into his frenetic beats, while The Neil Cowley Trio and The Postmarks both draw it out long and slow. Inglewood Jack builds an extended electric guitar jam on top of Kraemer's melody, while Venetian Snares glitch samples it to pieces. Am I wrong to still like DJ Food's version the best? Is there a difference between OG and just plain old?

Thanks for the shout out. I think I remember you linking to my Sesame Beat post when it first came out? Anyway, glad you enjoyed.
