I don't know French illustrator Blexbolex's work, but it has the kind of modern spareness I like about Jacob Lawrence's paintings and Leo Lionni's paint collages. From the Enchanted Lion book trailer below, Seasons looks very nice. And since I found it at the Menil Collection Bookstore's tumblr, I'm sure it is.
