So did you realize that anyone can invite the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile to his event, and they'll come? With at least three months advance notice and a bit of "Oscar Mayer relevance," even a dadblogger organizing a fundraiser can not only get the Wienermobile to show up and raffle off some pedal cars for a good cause and--holy smokes, is that a giant plush ride-on Wienermobile? Why, yes it is!--he and his 1-yo daughter can hitch a ride of a lifetime to the family afterparty on the Wienermobile? And take a picture so the kid'll remember it because she fell right to sleep. Still, sounds like a definite improvement over their road trip to Sequoia National Park where the kid shrieked every second she was in her car seat.

That's him right there, Matt Logelin, dadblogger and president of the Liz Logelin Foundation, which provides emergency assistance to young families dealing with the sudden loss of a partner or spouse. The foundation, created just a few months ago, is named after Matt's wife, who died of an undetected blood clot right after their daughter Madeline was born.

Someday I will visit that site and not cry. So far I'm approximately 6/6.

A strange set of circumstances found us transplanted from DC to LA for 3 weeks last months and we went to the event. It was awesome! I'm just bummed I didn't win the pedal car.
