Studies of data from the 2000 US census and 2004 births show that Asians in the US are increasingly turning to "family balancing," either through sex selection or abortion, to ensure they have a boy. The chances of a second kid or third kid being a boy are up to 50% greater than the normal ratio, which is 105 boys for every 100 girls.

I think this is what is eventually going to end the abortion debate as we know it. As it becomes more and more common to chose the exact kid you want (hair color, eye color, gender, etc), I think there will be less and less stigma to terminating early pregnancies.
and don't forget no one ever has to have a kid with down syndrome again.
I hope this doesn't become the norm. I'm pretty solid with pro-choice, but it's disturbing to read about couples killing off females for the sole reason of gender.
