The Chimp Wasn't The Problem

Harry Raven, 82, would like to make two things clear:

Contrary to all the press coverage at the time [i.e., the 1930s], Meshie, the orphan chimp his father brought home to live with them, was never considered a sibling. He was just the only one who Harry's dad ever hugged, kissed, or gave any attention to.

Also, Harry's dad "was not a good father."

Related, but different: W.N. Kellogg raised a chimp alongside his son Donald in 1932, too

Happy Early Father's Day!
