Does Your Mouth Move When You Spoonfeed A Kid?

Because I'm trying like crazy to keep mine still, and I just can't do it.

It's the "Do you breathe in or out on your backswing?" of babyfeeding.

My husband opens his mouth when he feeds the baby! I recorded him so I can show him how silly he looks.
I bite my lip when I feed her so I don't do the same thing and get laughs back.

Would I ever laugh at you???

My mouth definitely moves when I feed my son. I'm surprised to learn that others do the same thing. I thought it was just me. :)

I have no idea, but thanks... now it will be the only thing I think about next time I feed him.

No, but my grandmother, who sewed, used to open and close her mouth along with the scissors when cutting fabric. It's one of my favorite memories of her.

I open my mouth on purpose. The kid (my niece) mimics me and the food goes in fairly neatly.

I also used to do it to get my kids (now 6) to open their mouths wider when I was brushing their teeth.

manoman...
i could show the be a picture of a spoon and he'd open his mouth in anticipation. however, i still open my mouth when sending the choo choo train into the tunnel.
