Bellagio Fastback: Finally, A Maserati Cinqueporte I Can Get Behind

carrozzeria_touring_bellagio.jpg

Suhweet. Carrozzeria Touring has put the Touring back into their Carrozzeria with this station wagon conversion for the Maserati Quattroporte. Dubbed the Bellagio Fastback, this uomo di famiglia-mobile will debut in a few days alongside CT's new Superleggera sports car at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. [check out the Superleggera page for a grainy little bonus rear 3/4 view of the Bellagio.]

Frankly, the Bellagio looks 2-3 times better than the virtual Quattroporte SportWagon created by CWWDesign, and an easy hundred times better than the Nissan-fugly Quattroporte-to-Cinqueporte conversion the Sultan of Brunei commissioned a few months back. And I can be honest like that with The Sultan because I love him so much. Like a rich uncle with dozens of kids who don't appreciate his passion for fine station wagons the way I do, and whose five-door babies I can be entrusted to look after with the utmost care.

I think it looks better than the sedan.

Ohmigod it's practically an 8C shooting brake. I gotta go be alone for a while.

[i think i know what's lining the inside of YOUR Meditator...-d.]

Does Top Gear know about this?

I expect Jeremy to test drive this very soon. As a matter of fact I may have to email this to them just to be sure. That's after I email this to my husband and demand he use The Secret and spend the next 20 minutes mentally picturing me behind the wheel. I'll let you know how it works out.

[I'd make Jeremy post a bond before I let him within 100m of my Bellagio. -ed.]

You'd have to stipulate that only James May (aka Captain Slow) could drive it.
