High five to Jim and Wood. Their new kid arrived [finally!] to convert the narrow-minded holdouts of our nation to the miracle of the metric system. His name: Gram Woodward Griffoen.
Right now, they're glad they didn't take my suggestion of a few months ago and give the kid a solid, upstanding Detroit political name like Kwame.

I love the name, but then I would because my almost-one-year-old is also called Gram. It was inspired by Gram Parsons, though, rather than the metric system (which we use here in Australia).
