For families who are spread out across the globe, why NOT use YouTube to share the video of you waiting to hear about your kid's birth [down the hall, around the corner, in the shoe-free zone of the Japanese hospital]?
And why NOT use it to announce the name of your new daughter? Though maybe you should tell your wife what the name is first.

So the dad would rather play with his videocamera and big kid than be with his wife for the cesarian? Or are dads not allowed in the OR for births in Japan?
