I remember getting into an argument on the bus over who had been listening to the Bay City Rollers longer. It ended just as you expect, with one kid declaring, "Well, I've liked them since I was born."
And then my wife was like, "What are you talking about back here? We just missed our stop." [Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week. Tip your waitress.]
But seriously, folks, when the kid and I watched the YouTube of Arcade Fire's appearance on Saturday Night Live a couple of weeks ago, she goes, "Hey! That's the band from Pancake Mountain!"
Because see, we'd gone to a Pancake Mountain screening a year ago, and bought a couple of their earlier DVD's. Arcade Fire's 2005 PM performance is on Disc 2, episodes 3&4.
