Midnight, And The Kiddies Are Sleeping

The New York Times reports that many very young children are attending Broadway theater shows:

Kate’s first show was “Beauty and the Beast,” which she saw when she was 3. Ms. Gerathy admitted that 3 was young, but she wanted to impart her love of Broadway to the children as soon as possible. Kate behaved herself, in a way (“It was a lot of money for her to sit and sleep,” Ms. Gerathy said), and has since seen “The Lion King” and “Tarzan.”

...

“My mom took her to see ‘Mamma Mia!,’ ” Mr. Iadanza said. “I didn’t know if she was going to like it, and she loved it. I’ve got my daughter singing Abba songs all around the house.”

Put it this way: if I had to do the same again, I wouldn't, my friend.

I saw the Rockettes when I was 7. Oddly enough I think even at 7 I was able to realize that there really wasn't an age they were appropriate for.
