The New York Times reports that many very young children are attending Broadway theater shows:
Kate’s first show was “Beauty and the Beast,” which she saw when she was 3. Ms. Gerathy admitted that 3 was young, but she wanted to impart her love of Broadway to the children as soon as possible. Kate behaved herself, in a way (“It was a lot of money for her to sit and sleep,” Ms. Gerathy said), and has since seen “The Lion King” and “Tarzan.”Put it this way: if I had to do the same again, I wouldn't, my friend....
“My mom took her to see ‘Mamma Mia!,’ ” Mr. Iadanza said. “I didn’t know if she was going to like it, and she loved it. I’ve got my daughter singing Abba songs all around the house.”
I saw the Rockettes when I was 7. Oddly enough I think even at 7 I was able to realize that there really wasn't an age they were appropriate for.
