Students of journalism in the UK and US have proved that long articles by parents flouting their selfishness and repeatedly calling themselves "brave" for admitting how bored they are with their kids will elicit much heated, indignant response from readers.
The study was conducted in The Daily Mail by Helen Kirwan-Taylor, and involves, at present, 89 commenters.
While I wholeheartedly agree with Kirwan-Taylor that shopping at Harvey Nichols with a kid is a chore--too many half-stairs everywhere make for a stroller nightmare--I have a hard time taking boredom advice from someone who writes 2,000 words about getting her highlights done.
Sorry, but my children bore me to death! [dailymail via dt reader jj daddy]
I just have one question, did she have kids because they would look cute in front of the Christmas tree come holiday time? I mean, WTF?!
