Mr Potato Head Had A Posse

katie_cooky_mr_potatohead.jpg

Everyone has a past, I suppose. Take Mr. Potato Head, whose head used to be made out of real potatoes. The Hassenfeld Bros. Company used to just sell a box of face parts with pins on the back, for sticking in a potato.

Then in 1964, they switched to plastic heads, and also Mr. Potato Head got some friends. So before he settled down with Mrs. Potato Head, he mixed it up with Katie the Carrot and Cooky the Cucumber. His wingman was Pete the Pepper.

Anyway, he doesn't talk about it much anymore, probably because he's afraid of losing his job at Hasbro.
