I confess, when I saw the subject line of JJ Daddy-o's email, "The Infant Jesus In A Baby Walker," I assumed it was one of those "Virgin Mary in a piece of toast" kind of stories.
So I was as surprised as you may be to see this image of the Holy Family from the c.1440 masterpiece of Northern European illuminated manuscripts, The Hours of Catherine of Clèves. Which was created in Utrecht--so that baby walker is Dutch--and is now owned by the Morgan Library.
