Playmobil Albrecht Dürer

playmobil_albrecht_durer.jpg

I would like to think that this Playmobil version of Albrecht Dürer is just the first step in Playmobil's master plan to create tiny, beady-eyed, plastic versions of every artist, architect, and historical and literary figure on earth. And who knows, it may be.

For now, though, it looks like it's a one-off, produced in conjunction with a major Dürer retrospective this year in Nüremberg. But it was also spotted at the Prado gift shop last winter. But it's not listed there now. But eh, whatever, save your frequent flyer miles; it's on Amazon.de.
