Tatt.ly: Awesome Design Tattoos In Short

Oh, Swiss Miss, you have gone straight for Adolf Loos's heart, and I wish you all the best. Here is Loos in his "Ornament as Crime":

The Papuan tattoos in short everything he can lay hands on, he is not a criminal. The Modern Man who tattoos himself is either a criminal or a degenerate. There are prisons in which eighty percent of the inmates show tattoos. If someone who is tattooed dies at liberty, he has died a few years before committing a murder.

The urge to ornament one's face and everything within reach is the start of plastic art. The evolution of culture is synonymous with the removal of ornament from utilitarian object...Every age had its style, it our age alone to be refused a style? ... Ornament does not heighten my joy or the joy in life of any cultivated person. Not only is ornament produced by criminals but also a crime is committed through the fact that ornament inflicts serious injury on people's health, on the national budget and hence on cultural evolution.

And here is the Swiss mom who now also tattoos in short:

I have exciting news! We just launched Tattly, a temporary tattoo store for design-minded kids and kids-at-heart. After applying many bad-clip-art tattoos on my daughter Ella, I decided to stop complaining and take matters into my own hands. I was ready to put designy, cool, typographic tattoos on my daughter, or myself for that matter. The idea for Tattly was born.
These are awesome, I just ordered the whole set. While we're waiting, though, I just drew James Victore's Scribble tatt on the kid's arm with a Sharpie.
