The flea markets are insanely expensive. In many cases, the vendors have no idea what they have/value, but they are just pulling insane numbers from the air. I think, because, they are swamped with Americans spending without reason. They can't figure it out, but they name ridiculous numbers and every so often, the buyer just says yes.For my euro, the only way to shop international flea markets is with a plan to fill a shipping container, or an eye for the thing you can carry home yourself. So though they are an interesting melange of moderne and rustique, this short stack of French school chairs would not make either cut.
