Mister Mort and some of his fellow style sharks went on a road trip up the California coast, and all we got is--actually, I think we made out pretty well: a giant pile of awesome photos, including a set of pics of this beautiful, car seat-equipped, Chevy Bel Air [I'd guess it's a 1962] at the Curly Redwood Lodge in Crescent City.
The Lodge, as you probably know, was built with the lumber from a single curly redwood tree felled in 1952. Over 57,000 board feet. Apparently with the sea air, it takes quite a bit of work to keep the wood in its original condition.
