At This Point, A Shark-Jumping Muppet Would Be An Improvement

In explaining their phony Katy Perry publicity stunt, Sesame Workshop acknowledged that

'Sesame Street' has always been written on two levels, for the child and adult. We use parodies and celebrity segments to interest adults in the show because we know that a child learns best when co-viewing with a parent or caregiver.
Which, first off, duh, but second, no. Just no. Please stop. Actually, you should've stopped before doing a parody of True Blood.

Or Mad Men, for that matter. Or Miami Vice. Or RENT. Or Showgirls. Oh, wait.
