Wow, but the documentary Spike Jonze and Lance Bangs about Maurice Sendak sounds absolutely fantastic. Sounds like their hang-back style captures this cantankerous, complicated, sad, angry, sensitive old genius almost perfectly. As one commenter on the LA Times piece says, "Sendak is a complex cat."
