Circumcision Is The New African HIV-Fighting Hotness

The NY Times reports on the latest trend in southern African penises: circumcision. After several international studies found that adult male circumcision reduced female-to-male HIV transmission by up to 60%, hundreds of thousands of men are lining up to chop it off. Except in South Africa, where the government still thinks AIDS is caused by contaminated breadfruit or something.

But even there, one doctor in one privately funded clinic says he's taking off up to 53 foreskins a day. A day.
