London illustrator Marcus Walters created this sweet pictographic alphabet for his soon-to-be-born daughter. Check out his blog and his portfolio for more great work. Three years of reading Eric Carle and Leo Lionni have softened me up for interesting collage/assembly work, and a dad making stuff for his kid is always a bonus. I'd like to see if Walters does more stuff for kids.
