Sweet Suiko Crib Convertible By Sirch

sirch_babybett_suiko.jpg

Wow, nice. This molded birch baby bed converts from a cradle to a crib to a toddler bed. It's by Sirch, the German wooden toy company which also makes those cool molded ply ride-in carts. [On the other end of the utility spectrum, they also did the Villa Sibi, the beautiful-but-ridiculous $600 Mies van der Rohe-style toy house.]

There are no extra kits required, you just add or take off casters and the painted ply side panel. The ends, meanwhile, kind of remind me of Offi's LookMe chair, which is not a bad thing at all.

Anyway, the bed is called the Suiko, and so far, it's only available in the EU. The German shop Design3000 has the Suiko listed for EUR779, which includes VAT
