Whoa, Nelly! Stroller Archaeology

AJ went on a vintage stroller bender at Thingamababy, digging up enough 19th and early 20th century baby gear--and one from ancient Egypt--to fill an entire Ye Olde Babies R Us.

Check it out, including this editorial cartoon engraving from the NY Public Library collection which shows that New York City's streets were teeming with Mountain Buggy Urban Doubles sporting ridiculously oversized sun canopies as early as 1859 [!!].
