Jellio Turbo - Recommended For Children Under 3

jellio_turbo.jpgI remember a tobacco executive use the words "surprise and delight" while describing her company's marketing strategy. Sounds better than "turn into junkies and bleed till they die," I suppose. I mention this only because the fine folks at Jellio make such surprisingly delightful stuff, it's like the home design version of crack. I can't get enough of it, and I'm looking around the room seeing what I can sell to finance my Jellio habit. [The kid's sleeping in the other room, so she lucked out. This time.]

What am I talking about? Well, for starters, they just introduced the Turbo, a limited edition wall-sized sculpture based on a model car like you used to have. [that's how they get you, see.] It's cast resin and aluminum, comes in an editin of 10, and costs $2,500. [But the week-long buzz you get from gluing it to the wall? That's free.]

What else do they have? A throw pillow that looks like a beach ball ($75), an end table that looks like a Rubik's Cube ($500, solving included), and another favorite, a mirror shaped like a ViewMaster card, with cut-outs for photos. ($150). Too late for Christmukkah, but hopefully in time for the kid's ability to focus on something more than 3 feet away.
