Cross-breed your Bugaboo

At first, it caught us off guard, now we're used to it, but we get stopped and/or talked about whenever we take the kid out in the stroller, especially by the dads. Nothing hurts more than having to meet the crestfallen gaze of another new dad pushing his brand new calico-quilted, grocery cart-lookin' travel system.

If only I'd started Daddy Types sooner, I opine, I could've helped him out.

Here's the recipe:
1 - Bugaboo Frog
1 - Maxi Cosi Cabrio carseat [available only outside the US]
2 - Maxi-Cosi/Bugaboo Adapters [available only outside the US]

Strangely enough, no one ever asks me about the Diet Coke, dangling like an uncomfortably strange fruit from the handle.

We used a Peg Perego with adapter initially which was great, but was impossible for transfers to cabs since it requires a base... We switched to a Graco Snug Ride, which seems like the choice of most parents we've run into...

Today, we are way past a car seat that can fit on the Bugaboo... the next size is so friggin large... it's a baseless mega seat from Britax that will allegedly last until the kid is about 45lbs... we'll see. Never thought we'd be on our 3rd car seat before 7 months...

Yeah, the adapters are small like the Peg Perego, but we didn't like the giant bracket that goes with the Graco. Seemed almost as big and impractical as carrying a base around.

Some friends confess to sometimes using the Bugaboo seat as a carseat in taxis, even though it's not designed to provide any actual protection.

Our own carseat smugness is bound to come to an end pretty soon, though, from the sound of things.

Just got the Maxi-Cosi as well. Dutch company ships all colors to the States. Check out Babycare has "Coffee" color. Looks very cool.

Hi,
We purchased the Bugaboo Frog and the MaxiCosi Cabrio car seat, also we have the "small" Maxi Cosi Cabrio car seat adapters but we can't find a way to put the car seat on to the Bugaboo.

The adapters look like that they don't fit the MaxiCosi.

Could anyone please help with a diagram of some kind so we can install tha car seat on to the Bugaboo stroller?
Thank you.
