DT reader Andy gave a heads up on a batch of sweet, sweet mid-century childrens' design and toy items he just put up for sale on ebay. The lots include two sets of kid-size Bertoia chairs and a vintage toy farm by Danish designer Kay Bojesen [yeah, I had no idea, either, but I recognize the monkey].
But the real eyepoppers are the awesome solid maple toy airplane from Creative Playthings [CP's still great, but sadly, they do NOT make'em like they used to] and this pair of puzzles by Enzo Mari. I remember having this animal puzzle as a kid, but I don't remember it being such an incredible-looking design.
I'll say it so you don't have to: $900 for a couple of old puzzles??? Why you could get a Bugaboo for less than that! [The obvious thing to do, of course, is to use your second $900 for the stroller...]
Orlandy's ebay items for sale [ebay]
Thanks Greg.
The Bertoia kids chairs have already sold, to a Dad with lucky kids in Pennsylvania.
You could buy 3.6 Laura Ashley Travel System strollers for $900.
Or 2/3 of a Netto Collection crib.
