I hate people.

yes. though since posting this, I've wondered about the possibility, at least, that it's reactive or defensive, that after someone else tried to trademark their kid's name and pitch them on some baby clothing, they locked everything up themselves.

Ha, I'm going to make a killing on Blue Ivy cookware, power tools, and farm implements, but hair accessories are flat out.

Blue Ivy got 99 trademark product categories, but farm implements ain't one.

This is why I never post about these people; because I only have one joke.

I feel like if your generous speculation in comment #2 were true, we would have heard about this as a standard practice in celebrity parenting, post-suri. or if it's the first defensive trademarking, we would have heard about people trying to market products with other celebrity baby names attached? I don't know. particularly because of the father's other silly antics since this baby was born, I am inclined to believe this is proactive. and that just makes me sad.
