Joey, Do You Like Coloring Books About Cowboys?

The comic-sized Wrangler Western Museum Coloring Book is an obvious marketing tool--that was published in 1962 by Custom Comics for my high school buddy's grandfather's company, Blue Bell, which operated textile mills way out in the west-- -ern part of North Carolina, Greensboro.

And while American-made denim has all but disappeared, it's nice to know that the artisans of America's Corporate Coloring Book Industrial Complex are still standing tall, nearly 50 years later.
