Ford NA has a long, storied history of botching the introductions of awesome rides from Ford Europe to the US market. The Merkur [flop], the Contour/Mystique [who?] the redesigned Focus [no-show]... Reports have surfaced that another cycle of build-up and disappointment is in the works, as Ford considers importing some hot European models to give the North American market a quick boost.
The question is, will it be the S-Max, the awesome people mover that--no, how many times can you actually say it without cracking up? --the awesome 5+2 minivan that was just voted Car of The Year? Or will it be the new Mondeo, the gorgeous wagon version of which was just spotted in production trim? Let me say, if it comes with the squigglecamo, I'm putting down my deposit right. now. So. Should I make that check out in Euros or US dollars?
